Meeting the love of my life gave me the courage to make bold moves—including one life-changing decision I’d been putting off for years.
Lycette, my wife, originally moved from Las Vegas to Pennsylvania so we could be together. But over time, I realized Las Vegas offered more opportunities and would be a better place for our family. Starting my real estate business there would be more challenging, but it was the right move for my kids.
I come from York, Pennsylvania, where job opportunities were few and far between. I ended up working for my brother, who owned a group home for youth; I supervised the children, fed them, and ran the home as direct care staff.

At the same time, I was starting my own family. I got married at 19 and became a dad at 20 to Haylea, Talicia, and Ra-Mya. While I built a family, I was losing my own parents—my dad passed away from cancer when I was 15, and I lost my mom when I was 24. Their deaths were incredibly challenging, to say the least. When I found myself struggling—whether at home or at work—I couldn’t turn to them for comfort or advice. I missed them deeply, and not having a wise parental figure to talk to made things harder.
Yet, I wanted to better support my growing family, so I looked for a more stable path—and it just so happened that Frito-Lay had a plant in my town. I got hired as a warehouse worker, and over time, I became a trainer and supervisor. I was in charge of quality control, which literally meant eating tortilla chips to make sure they were up to standard. And let me tell you, you get tired of eating Doritos pretty quickly! But the job gave me what I needed: career growth and the ability to provide for my family, which grew again in 2008 and 2010 when I welcomed two more sons—Conrad Jr. and Reuben.
Life took a big turn when a great friend invited me on a vacation to Vegas. We were hanging out at a bar when I noticed a woman walk in and start chatting with our waitress. I kept looking over at her, wondering if she might be interested in me. Turns out, she was wondering the same. When I went to pay my bill, we finally spoke. Her name was Lycette, and what started as a random conversation became a friendship—and eventually, a marriage.
Up until that point, I had been through two broken marriages—the compatibility with my previous partners just wasn’t there—but with Lycette, everything clicked. She was my person.

I relocated to Vegas not just to be closer to Lycette’s family, but because I wanted my kids to grow up in a place full of opportunity. Vegas was also the place to become a REALTOR®. I’d already been thinking about getting my license—my dad had owned properties, and I knew it was a smart investment—so when we moved, I finally took the leap.
Moving to a city where I knew few people meant building my business from scratch. Yet, it’s all been worth it. Vegas has brought blessings to me and my family. I love what I do, I love hanging out with my kids—recently, even a grandbaby!—and in my free time, I exercise, bowl, and golf.
My kids are also thriving—my daughters are all going into business for themselves, which makes me proud. Because I lost my parents young, I never had someone telling me they believed in me. Everyone needs that kind of validation. So now, I try to be that supportive presence for my own kids—and I make sure to give myself credit, too. Owning and growing my real estate business is one of my biggest accomplishments.
I love getting people excited about homeownership and helping them realize it’s possible—even when they doubt it themselves. I reassure every client that we’ll make a plan, find solutions, and make it happen. My calm nature helps me approach challenges objectively and find strategic ways forward, no matter how complex the situation may be. I don’t give up easily and stay focused under pressure, always making decisions that move the transaction toward success.
I'm also known for having strong relationships with other local agents, which gives my clients an edge in negotiations. I’m here to take the stress off my clients' shoulders. I want them to feel at ease, knowing I’m handling all the behind-the-scenes work—the details, the deadlines, the problem-solving. My goal is for them to enjoy the process of finding a home while I take care of everything else.
Sincerely,
Conrad Beatty
